Annual Portsmouth Garden Club Star Island Retreat
Here is the information you’ll need to plan your attendance to the Portsmouth Garden Club’s Annual Star Island Conference/Retreat!
WHO: All members of our club (and neighboring seacoast garden clubs) are welcome, as well as friends and family of PGC attendees
WHAT: This is a low-key conference, where all activities are optional.
That said, our event includes:
wine and cheese gatherings on the porch before dinner
a candlelit chapel service by and for our group
an art workshop
kayaking and Smuttynose excursion (weather permitting)
member-led craft projects
garden clean-up around the historic cottages
bird walks, nature walks, rock walks …
inspiring sunsets
awesome sunrises
whatever else the land and sea have for you after a summer of hard gardening!
WHERE: You can choose either a shared or single room in the hotel or motel. Accommodations
are definitely rustic, but clean and comfortable. Wireless technology is available, but no

Departing the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company dock (Portsmouth) on Monday at approximately 9:00 am
Returning to Portsmouth about 4:00 pm Wednesday
*If you would like to add a day (or two) for yourself at the beginning or end, arrangements can be made for an additional charge. If you can only join us for a day or two, we can work that out too.

*There is also a conference fee of $25 payable to PORTSMOUTH GARDEN CLUB upon arrival.
