The Portsmouth Garden Club was founded on April 22, 1931. The first president was Mrs. Harold M. Smith.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Portsmouth Garden Club is to promote all phases of gardening, to practice and encourage the conservation of our natural resources, to foster educational goals and to initiate projects which provide cooperative efforts to increase and protect the beauty and history of the Portsmouth area.

Dianne Mrak, our club president, has propagated a new daylily, registered and named The Portsmouth Garden Club Ladies.
